Satisfaction Guaranteed

Mark 15:1-15 (v15) ... Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged and handed Him over to be crucified ...

Is it by "popular opinion" that you make your decision? Is it in "popular opinion" you are satisfied? Have you somehow, in any way, failed to know what GOD's opinion is first before you decided?

Many people live through trends, being dragged down by many different opinions. Media has shared its thoughts blasphemously and advertising has its share of draggings. Nowadays, there are no sound opinions, each of them a slice of every opinion which in the end, if it satisfies your well-being you go for it.

In Pilate's case, not just the popular opinion, but the safest opinion was his option. Rather than being ridiculed in the long run, by these people accusing Jesus of nonsense, he'd rather take the wide road.

Pilate understood the situation. The priests were jealous and Jesus was innocent. He has already given His verdict persuading the crowd, "why Him?" The crowds words were like bribery to His ears, that's why he took the easy way out.

To most of us, we have also chosen the wide road. In our minds, it is really easier if we take the safer path than the rougher one. Yet GOD has called all of His sons and daughters to suffer the same way His one and only Son suffered. The only problem we worldly people have is that we want to satisfy our lives-giving ourselves what seems best for us according to our own opinion.

Whose opinion is better? Whose is right? Whose will deem fit at the end?
